Delivering a high-volume,
task-managed project for a
premier manufacturer of
white goods

Our client, a premier manufacturer within the white goods industry, has been active in the UK for over 100 years. Their brand is synonymous with state-of-the-art technologies, a strong focus on innovation and for providing trusted and reliable products.

Our client engaged ManpowerGroup Solutions to undertake a major national retrofit programme of defective white goods.

Challenge

  • Our client’s own engineers did not have the capacity to absorb the enormous workload in the five month window provided to retrofit the machines
  • A focused effort was required to quickly replace the suspect part for a rapid retrofit programme
  • Our client sought a trusted supplier who could provide a high volume of field installers for the project duration, while also scheduling and coordinating the programme. The temporary workforce also needed to ensure our client’s brand was well represented in the field.

Solution

  • ManpowerGroup Solutions recruited and trained a UK-wide team of 400 technicians, 20 team leaders and six regional service managers
  • In addition, a team of 20 scheduling/logistics staff were provided to operate from the client’s call centre to coordinate and schedule installations with both customers and technicians.

Results

  • ManpowerGroup Solutions successfully retrofitted a quarter of a million white goods over a five month period of time
  • Following advertisements from our client in the national press, ManpowerGroup Solutions cleared all end-user requests for service
  • Our client found their brand was enhanced by the speed and service provided during the programme.
